What is an explorer?
An explorer is a young person who is interested in a career and would like to learn more about that particular field. The Rowan County Emergency Service Post is focused on EMS related careers.
Who can be an explorer?
An explorer is a person between the ages of 14 and 20 and completed the 8th grade.
When and where do explorers meet?
The first and third Wednesday night from 7pm till 9pm (1900hrs-2100hrs) at Rowan County EMS Stations 87. This is located at 2727 Old Concord Rd in Salisbury.
What do explorers do?
We offer the chance to learn about EMS and Emergency Services as a career. This includes hands-on classes, ride-a-longs with our EMS crews on ambulances, public events, and trips to local hospitals and other emergency services departments.
